I have been getting a call from this number, every lunchtime for a few days now, warning me that my Stealth Communications line is going to be disconnected today unless I dial 1 to speak to an engineer . This is obviously a scam .
Lady with heavy asian accent - lot of background noise . Said her name was Rebecca claimed to be from Interlync Internet Services Security department . Woild not give any form of proof of idnetity . Wanted me to log on to my PC so they could help me with security issues . Told her I would not and that genuine internet providers would never contact customers in this way . Line went dead .
I received a call from +17066212183 . The caller (who had a strong Indian accent) claimed to be from The Bank of New York Mellon and told me that there was a problem on my line which was causing delays . I was already suspicious so I strung him along and confirmed to him that there was a problem, even though there was not one really . He told me he could solve the problem and increase the speed on my line . I thanked him and said that it seemed that Christmas had come early this year - it was actually 11 May . He then asked me if I was near my router but I said I was not . He then said something which I could not understand because of his strong accent . When I told him I did not understand what he had said he rang off and has not called again . Obviously a scam .
I need to know who was calling me it has happened more than once
